Announcement of the "Open Hearing" held on behalf of thirteen expelled students with a graphic image of a judge on the recto and a length text along with lists of participants and sponsors on the rear. Following a peace rally in April 1940 University President Alexander G. At this culminating event in November a range of speakers including representatives of the Civil Rights Federation labor unions professors and activists denounced Ruthven and defended the students' first amendment rights. In the end however the students remained expelled and a year later the U.S. was in the war. Civil Rights Federation unknown
