Duecentocinquanta pagine che raccontano la storia del "tramway" di Sesto Fiorentino tra leggenda e fatti realmente accaduti, attraverso l'esame di dati, luoghi e spaccati di vita, di società, di storia, di economia sestese. Il libro permette al lettore di "salire" sul tramway di un tempo e di osservare da un punto di vista privilegiato lo sviluppo di Sesto Fiorentino fra la seconda metà dell'Ottocento e il primo Novecento. Ed ecco allora le testimoneanze di vite vissute sul tramway e condizionate dal tramway; i racconti di chi ne ha fatto la propria ragione di vita (i tramvieri), di guadagno (i gestori), di opportunità (gli utenti); le ragioni che hanno portato alla decisione inesorabile della disfatta di una così importante realtà urbana, sociale ed economica. Aside from its articles covering topics ranging from the Beatniks and Gay marriage to homosexuality and national security One Magazine also featured poetry and short fiction by numerous prominent authors.
