Albers.NL Decoratieve poster van een oude foto van L.J.P. Albers van de blauwe tram in Den Haag nieuwe Scheveningse bosjes. De Blauwe Tram reed op zaterdag 31 augustus 1957 voor het laatst van Voorburg naar Scheveningen. In september 1942 moest de Blauwe Tramlijn op last van de Duitse bezetter Scheveningen verlaten in verband met de bouw van de Atlantikwall. Pas in het voorjaar van 1947 kon de Blauwe Tram eindelijk weer doorrijden naar Scheveningen. De Voorburgse burgemeester dr. J.W. Nooteboom sprak bij de feestelijke heropening dat Voorburg weer aan de kust kwam te liggen. Helaas was dat van korte duur. Gelijktijdig met het afscheid te Scheveningen in 1957 verdween de Blauwe Tram op het baanvak AmsterdamHaarlemZandvoort 's nachts uitgeleide gedaan door duizenden toeschouwers. Hay was expelled from the CP at his own insistence as a "security risk" to the party because of his involvement in the Society. The name derives from a French medieval and renaissance masque group.
