CZC-11640Charles Nungesser est un aviateur français né à Paris le 15 mars 1892 et disparu le 8 mai 1927 dans un lieu inconnu de l'Atlantique Nord ou d'Amérique du Nord. As de l'aviation française pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, il disparaît avec François Coli lors d'une tentative de traversée Paris-New York sans escale à bord de L'Oiseau blanc. John Wise (1808-1879?) was a pioneer in the field of ballooning. His first balloon ascension was May, 2, 1835. He perfected his flights over much of Lancaster County. His major fame came from his observations for the Union Army in the Civil War. He made over 400 flights during his lifetime and was responsible for several innovations in balloon design.
