This book covers her tour of duty in 1963-1964 and covers Hawaii Japan and on to Hong Kong. 351 pages with hundreds of illustrations in color and black & white photographs and also includes multiple fold out paintings. Pencil drawing of ship on otherwise blank cover. The log was kept by A.A. Parisi who signed the front endpaper. The log covers 24 pages and offers details of the ship's daily activities. The Wadleigh was a naval destroyer. In the period covered by this diary she left Newport RI for Japan via the Panama Canal Pearl Habor and Midway. The cruise's major event was joining a naval task force to patrol the waters off Taiwan to prevent a possible Chinese Communist attack on the island. She returned to Newport in Nov 1954. hardcover
