Un'enorme ondata fece rotolare sul piroscafo un grosso cavo. Alcuni marinai lottarono più di un'ora, sul ponte coperto di ghiaccio, sferzati continuamente dalle ondate, per rendersi padroni di questo groviglio di corde."
