Rara edizione devozionale stampata a Beirout presso l'Imprimerie Catholique. Padre Riccadonna, nativo di Broni, presso Voghera, si stabili' in Libano nel 1831, ristabilendo la presenza dei Gesuiti in questa parte dell'Asia dopo il ristabilimento dell'ordine. Qui ebbe fama di santita', conosciuto come Bouna Boulos per 32 anni compi' la sua missione e venne chiamato il Redendore del Libano. Viaggio predicando per l'Armenia, Anatolia, Mesopotamia, Kurdistan, Anatolia, Palestina e mori' nel 1863. Proprio grazie all'opera dei gesuiti francesi e allo stabilimento della tipografia (cosa che avvenne a partire dal 1841) si deve il forte influsso politico che la Francia avra' in seguito in Siria e in Libano.
