The fourth edition of this uncommon work on the wildlife and natural wonders of the Surrey Hills by Denham Jordan. The fourth edition of this work in the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Loosely inserted is a notecard of information about the author which is shared in more detail in the ink inscription to the front free end paper. An uncommonly seen work on the wildlife and countryside of the Surrey hills with notes on rivers and fish birds and woodlands and country sports. The author is unnamed but previous owners have identified him as Denham Jordan the author of many other natural histories and observations on British wildlife. 2 pages of publisher's advertisements and a 32-page publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally fairly smart though darkened to the spine with small faint marks to the boards and light shelf wear to the joints and extremities.
