A handsome copy. ~ First edition. "These chapters are called 'Travel-Studies,' to indicate that they combine the impressions of travel with the results of study before and after travel (.) Instead of going in detail over the Holy Land, I have selected the chief places in it, and a few which are closely connected with it, and then tried to seize upon and bring into clear view the main interest of these places. RARE Italian translation of a book by the Revisionist Zionist leader, author, poet, orator, soldier, and founder of the Odessa Jewish Self-Defense Organization Ze'ev Jabotinsky (1880-1940), who was involved, together with Joseph Trumpeldor in the establishment of the Jewish Legion of the British army in World War I. He later led the Jewish struggle against the British and the Arabs by establishing a number of Jewish organizations such as Beitar, Hatzohar, and the Irgun. In this book he focuses on the issue of the Jewish Legion, a Jewish army that helped the British free Palestine from Turkish reign. Includes a portrait of Jabotinsky between title page and first page. 155x202mm. 261 pages. Illustrated Softcover. Cover and spine yellowing and stained. Cover corners and edges worn. Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows light shelf wear only, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 80 pages on age-toned paper. Publicaiton date is estimated. Compelling evidence surfaced in 1993 showing that this book is a forgery and a hoax. "Book Depositry" of London offers a good description of why they offer a new version of this book for sale. We agree.
