1925106000<p>Folio pamphlet 14" x 9" green paper covers includes double-page map of Atlantic City 64 pp. Slight edgewear some minor tears around staples rear cover with small edge chip: otherwise very good generally bright and clean. This is a promotional piece put out by the Atlantic City Real Estate Board. It starts off with a health report highlighting the virtues of Atlantic City including information on its hospital the temperatures one can expect and the benefits of bathing in its waters. However most of the 64 pages are dedicated to presenting real estate values in Atlantic City. The brochure shows changes in property values from the early part of the last century to about 1925. Illustrations of scenery at the port destinations include a bird's eye view of Halifax N.S. Much of the original ACL network has been part of CSX Transportation since 1986. The Atlantic Coast Line served the Southeast with a concentration of lines in Florida. Numerous named passenger trains were operated by the railroad for Florida-bound tourists with the Atlantic Coast Line contributing significantly to Florida's economic development in the first half of the 20th century.
