1811104126<p>Pamphlet 8vo removed cloth spine and cardboard folder not attached 35pp. Ex-library blindstamp on title page some notes on endpapers last leaf partially detached small tape repair on back endpaper some browning staining and foxing throughout; still a very respectable copy. This is a somewhat scarce early title on the development of the Erie Canal. The pamphlet appears to discuss the benefits of developing the canal about six years before work began on this project. De Witt Clinton a strong advocate for the canal was one of the contributors to this report and his name appears in print on the last page.
