The liners featured exceptional Mid-Century Modern interiors lounges and amenities designed by Raymond Loewy. Loewy was also responsible for the beautiful streamlined Modern superstructure and the dummy funnels used as originally as a glass-roofed solarium for passengers. Also featured on the liners were two swimming pools and spacious staterooms for the 553 passengers traveling the 31-day 12657 mile route from new York to Buenos Aires stopping en route at Bridgetown Barbados; Port-of-Spain Trinidad; Salvador de Bahia Santos Rio de Janiero Brazil and Montevideo Uruguay.
