"Coleccion Documentos" Nos. 10-12.

At the head of the title: Ano del Centenario de los Proceres Centroamericanos Pedro Molina y Francisco Barrundia.

Pedro Molina 1777-1854 was a Guatemalan revolutionary and statesman. Molina studied humanities at an early age under the tutelage of one of the great Guatemalan scholars of the late eighteenth century Fray Antonio de Liendo y Goicoechea 1735–1814. He later studied medicine and surgery receiving his degree in 1798. In the years prior to independence from Spain Molina became increasingly involved in politics. He eventually came to lead an unlikely alliance of conservative oligarchs and middle-class elements. Born out of opposition to the captain-general Jose de Bustamante y Guerra this political faction later became the most radical one of the era actively urging independence. The voice of this nascent political party known derisively by its opponents as the cacos or thieves was the newspaper El Editor Constitucional edited by Molina who also wrote the column on physical and moral education.

The text is in Spanish.
Guatemala: Editorial del Ministerio de Educacion Publica, 1954. paperback

Martin Salvador Nino Caroselli Aurelio Bevia Aldoma Puig Pino Dell'orco Harry Farrugia Gino D'Antonio Jose Ortiz Jorge Moliterni Biffignandi. First Edition. FIFTEEN consecutive issues of War Picture Library published by Fleetway in 1961. Featuring artwork by Martin Salvador Nino Caroselli Aurelio Bevia Aldoma Puig Pino Dell'orco Harry Farrugia Gino D'Antonio Jose Ortiz Jorge Moliterni Biffignandi Juan Gonzalez and Kurt Caesar. Featuring issues: #101 - #115. War Picture Library was a British 64-page "pocket library" war comic magazine title published by Amalgamated Press/Fleetway. Launched in September 1958 the War Picture Library was one of the earliest "pocket library" titles and in particular one of the first to feature stories set during World War II. Uncredited from the start as were the vast majority of comic books written and drawn in the late 1950s and early 1960s War Picture Library continued the trend of UK-based comics publishers such as D. C. Thomson and publisher Fleetway in continuing not to credit on-page the names of its creators. Many names and before them styles became familiar to UK comics readers however and still more names have been documented over recent years. Contributors to War Picture Library included artists and luminaries such as Fred Holmes Giorgio Trevisan Harry Farrugia George Heath G. R. Parvin Nevio Zeccara Annibale Casabianca F. Solano López Juan Gonzalez Alacreu Jose Ortiz Ramon de la Fuente Jorge Moliterni Renzo Calegari Faruk Geç Luis Ramos Gino D'Antonio Carlos Pino and Hugo Pratt. 64 pages. Black & White illustrations. 6" x 7" 140mm x 180mm. 3 Amalgamated Press/Fleetway paperback
