The book also contains sections on himsa or violence, including violence against against oneself and causes of violence. Some other moral norms are discussed, such as self-control, truthfulness, forbearance, friendliness, compassion and non-stealing. There are specific chapters devoted to ahimsa in relation to war and crime, and ahimsa as exemplified by Mahatma Gandi and Vinoba Bhave.
