He wrote to her and her sister Agnes in most affectionate terms and they moved in 1791 to Little Strawberry Hill which he bequeathed to them for the term of their life. Mary brought out his 'Works' in 1798 and his letters from Mme du Deffand in 1810. Mary's own works include her travel journals from 1783 completed in 1852 and 'Social Life in England and France from 1660 to 1830'. unknown
