I temi trattati sono affrontati con sensibilità, in particolare il solismo batteristico nelle trascrizioni della seconda parte, così come le valutazioni sui grandi batteristi trascritti, un equilibrio fra la loro definizione storica e l'averli sentiti come parte della propria formazione musicale.
