In 8 (cm 16 x 22), pp. XX. Brossura muta ottocentesca. MANCA LA TAVOLA. Rarissima edizione originale, mancante della tavola, di quest'operetta desunta da altri scritti dell'Autore, il chirurgo romano Gaetano Petrioli, come da indicazione al frontespizio. L'autore comincia la sua dissertazione rilevando l'importanza anatomica dell'imene esponendo le varie opinioni degli anatomisti dell'epoca sull'esistenza o meno dell'imene nell'utero femminile e sul valore ed importanza per i segni specifici della verginita'. Questo saggio fu inserito in un'opera uscita nello stesso anno, intitolata "De poena stupri cum puella immatura", di Marco Torre, in cui l'Autore sosteneva non doversi punire come violento lo stupro perpetrato nella bambina superiore di anni sette.
