This book is the outcome of the seminar conducted on the topic Impact of Globlisation and Retaining Strategies for Labour and Employment by the Department of Applied Research, Gandhigram Rural University. Swiftly shortened to 'Growmore', the project included a series of leaflets which remained in distribution well into the 1950s to ease the after-effects of wartime and later rationing.
