Medicin. und Leib Medico des Duchlauchtigsten Prinzen DeConde. Jean Adrien Helvétius 1661 oder 1662-1727 holländisch-französischer Arzt er studierte Medizin an der Universität Leiden. In den frühen 1680er Jahren ging er nach Paris wo er vor allem durch die Verordnung eines Geheimmittels der südamerikanischen Brechwurzel gegen rote Ruhr bekannt wurde. Nachdem auch der französische König durch diese Arznei geheilt worden war eröffnete Helvétius 1688 den Namen des Geheimmittels und erhielt dafür eine Belohnung von 1000 Louis d'or.
