Millard's extensive library of architectural books. This volume concentrates on the finest British books on architecture printed from the seventeenth through the nineteenth centuries. The collection is particularly strong in eighteenth century books and includes almost all of the great folio albums that documented archaeological investigations of antiquity as well as most of the volumes documenting the architecture of Britain. Ninety-seven separate works are exhaustively catalogued with bibliographic descriptions by Claire Baines who also worked on the first volume of French Books and Geral Beasley. Lengthy catalogue entries were written by the three authors with th help of Jonathan Franklin Eileen Harris Paul W. Nash and Alison Shell.
