Binding is solid and square, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 95 pages, illustrated with color plates of the weavings with descriptions as to the symbols they contain, as well as color photographs of the Anatolian loomers in their native environs. milking, shearing sheep, doing fieldwork, dying the rugs, weaving methods, a brief entry on the maintenance and cleaning of the rugs.
Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 137 pages with a great many b&w photos. Chapters include: Human history in the natural scene, American Indians, Spanish explorations, American Explorations, The American frontier reaches the Grand Canyon, Forest reserve and national monument, Grand Canyon national park: period of establishment, .... Charles Lamb (1775-1834) was an English essayist, best known for his Essays of Elia and for the children's book 'Tales from Shakespeare' which he produced with his sister, Mary Lamb (1764-1847). Lamb has been referred to by E.V. Lucas, his principal biographer, as the most lovable figure in English literature. His influence on the English essay form cannot be overestimated. LIT BX 8
