With “1930†in the center behind a graphic design of Fox Studios ornate doorway flanked by two palm trees. And on the verso “Fox Film Studios Press Pass Not Transferable Publicity Director signed in ink. With “Void after June 30†handwritten. About fine with the barest hint of dust soiling. Jimmy Starr 1902 - 1990 is best known as a Hollywood columnist though he was also a writer and actor known for The Corpse Came C.O.D. 1947 A Night for Crime 1943 and Pink Pajamas 1929. The Fox Film Corporation was founded by William Fox 1879 - 1952 in 1915 and was very successful in the industry until he Crash of 1929 when he lost control of the company in 1930 during a hostile takeover ultimately resulting in a merger with the Twentieth Century Pictures to form 20th Century Fox in 1935. One of the last films produced by Fox at Fox was The Big Trail 1930 directed by Raoul Walsh starring John Wayne in his first leading role and the first domestic widescreen movie.
