This work was reproduced in facsimile from the original edition held in the private library of Henry C. Taylor. With a fascinating introduction notes and a bibliography of English Military books by David W. Waters. Collated complete with a portrait frontispiece of Drake a facsimile reprint of Greepe's ballad and five folding charts and plans. In a quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally lovely with only minor shelfwear to extremities and head and tail of spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean throughout. The first edition of this facsimile in the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Stamp of Cardiff Public Libraries to the front of the dust wrapper to the paste downs to the verso of the title page to page xix and to the last page. A facsimile reproduction of Thomas Blenerhasset's panegyric on Queen Elizabeth I first printed in 1582 from the unique copy held in the Henry E. Huntingdon Library and Art Gallery. This poetical work includes an introduction and a bibliographical note by Josephine Waters Bennett. Thomas Blenerhasset c.15501624 was an English poet whose major work was an expansion of The Mirror for Magistrates. In publisher's original quarter cloth binding with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally cloth and boards are bright and smart except for minor shelf wear to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for library stamps. Stamp to the front of the dust wrapper which is smart though sunned to the spine with a little chipped to the head and tail of the spine and to the upper extremities.
