Rare Friedländer publication on the disastrous Phylloxera vastatrix and P. coccinea. The plates come in four different sizes, namely approx. 21.5 x 31 cm, 26 x 33 cm, 33 x 52 cm and one still larger, double folded, whereas the text volume is 26 x 17 cm. Because of the various sizes the work has become rather ephemeral. It is very well illustrated but the paper is browned due to its quality.
