Foreword by Thomas Krens. Some sunning to spine edgewear light crease to top corner several pages have what looks like a fingermark in the margin on closer inspection it appears to be a publishing defect; there are also some tiny specks of paint in the inner margin of Foreword page. Top edges show no foxing. Cover intact but shows a little wear on corners. Beautifully inscribed in copperplate on inside front cover by previous owner in 1877. Inside front cover appears stained by water which has seeped into the next page but beyond that - the title page is free from damage except for a little yellowing at the edges. Simmons stieg in zehn Jahren zum weltgrößten Produzenten von Bettgestellen aus Messing auf stellte aber auch Eisenbetten Hospitalbetten Matrazen und Klappstühle in einem Preisrahmen von 13 bis 500 US-Dollar her.
