A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 189pp. The history from medieval times and the development over 100 years of the two Manchester hospitals Baguley and Wythenshawe which were at the forefront of TB treatment in the early 20th century. The author was a general surgeon at Wythenshawe from 1968 to 1993.
