Verve was a lavish French art and literary quarterly magazine published in Paris France. It was known for its high-quality reproductions of artwork and contributions from prominent artists and writers. The reproductions of artwork contained within would use techniques like heliogravure in color and black and white as well as lithography. E. Teriade the magazine's director envisioned this publication would present the work of the artists and writers in the most perfect way possible. While it featured both French and English editions this set of three issues bound in one are in English. <br><br>Bound in burnt dark orange publisher's cloth the cover bears the magazine's title "Verve" in metallic silver at the bottom corner of the cover and along the spine. The three issues bound together in this one book are Volume 1 No. 2 March-June of 1938; Vol. 1 No. 3 October-December of 1938; and Vol. 1 No. 4 January-March 1939. Profusely illustrated with artwork by many artists in black and white including actual lithographs bound in. The value in this book is completely in the lithographs themselves. <br><br>FURTHER DETAIL OF CONTENTS:<br><br>Spring 1938 March-June. Volume One Number Two.
