He advocated free trade the reform of the currency and the system of weights and measures as well as the consultation of the States General in order to avoid any despotism. After the first edition was produced by Denis Sauvage in 1552 which marked a notable progress this edition of 1649 produced by Théodore and Denis Godefroy was a great step forward. The work exuberantly lampoons Pop Art American culture and early underground comic books. Of all who have ever encountered the work and written of it seemingly none have failed to mention the heavy use of oversized female breasts that jut out from nearly every panel. Indeed OCLC record no. 712159856 lists "Large-breasted women" as one of the subjects. Other tropes not to be ignored include fancy sports cars gangsters and fastfood joints. OCLC notes 8 holdings.
