In the uncommon dust jacket $3.50 designed by Alvin Lustig and Quigley which is a bit toned with some minor edgewear and a few tape repairs; else very good. New Directions hardcover books

Il est republié pendant l'occupation en 1941 et 1942.Jonathan:"Bagatelles is a delirious vile mess of a book in which Céline endlessly attacks Jews and accuses them of every crime under the sun. I shall include some quotations from the book to give a flavour of its contents. You may not feel like reading all of them but the first quotation probably sums up the author’s view that everything is controlled by Jews:The world is a Corporation a Trust in which the Jews own all of the shares. The Trust has subsidiaries: “Communismâ€â€¦â€Monarchismâ€â€¦â€Democracy†and maybe even “Fascismâ€." Paris: Les Éditions Denoël, [ Réimpresson 1942 - "10-42]" paperback
197212071New York: Delacorte Press 1972. Red printed wrappers a bit sunned otherwise an excellent copy. Uncorrected proof copy of the first American edition translated by Ralph Manheim. Céline’s third novel offers a vivid chronicle of a desperate man’s frantic flight from France in the final months of World War II. Accompanied by his wife their cat and an actor friend the narrator leaves Paris for Baden-Baden a World War II hideaway for wealthy Germans is then sent to a bombed-out Berlin and finally leaves for Denmark in search of the gold he had stashed there prior to the war. This autobiographical novel captures the chaos of war and the toll it plays on men with documentary realism. Delacorte Press unknown
16-6264Tours/Blois: 1925. Page from a Liber amicorum with greeting and autographs from visiting dignitaries. Possibly signed during a visit to the Château du Clos Lucé.
