Volume Two includes no.53 originally published on August 7th 1756 with every issue up to no. 104 originally published on July 16th 1757.This set includes a the first one hundred and four issues of 'The Monitor: Or British Freeholder'. 'The Monitor' was an eighteenth century periodical which published essays and opinion pieces. It was financially supported by Richard Beckford and as a result was considered to be influenced by Whig politics. Bound in full calf. Bound in full calf. Retaining original blanks.
