Hardcover general trade edition bound in red cloth covered boards with gold stamping to the cover and spine wrapped in an illustrated paper dustjacket. A warm inscription signed by the artist and accompanied by an ink sketch of a rooster on the copyright page. The corners of the book are bumped--the lower corners a bit more so than the upper ones--and the dustjacket has a bit of wear although now encased in a Mylar protective sleeve.
