The pair grow up together and fall in love though they are naive and do not understand what is happening to them.Illustrated with four plates in addition to head- and tail-pieces. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine a little heavier to the extremities resulting in a little loss of paper. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Internally firmly bound.
