Spines and covers mildly sunned. Covers spines and hinges occasionally rubbed and mildly chipped. Mild chipping to two headpieces. Bernasconi travaillait a cette époque à son compte au 91, rue Seine à Paris, puis en association avec Goix, au 20 bis avenue Lowendal. "Spécialiste des reliures dites romantiques, son habilité professionnelle était unanimement reconnue par ses confrères et son atelier était fréquenté par de nombreux bibliophiles" (Dictionnaire des relieurs français, éd. Technorama). Dos légèrement éclairci. Couvertures conservées. Impression soignée sur papier vergé portant en filigrane le nom de l'auteur. Exemplaire du tirage courant. Il n'y a eu que 100 exemplaires numérotés sur grand papier. Signet. Portrait de l'auteur gravé par Jeanniot en frontispice du premier volume. 26 Volumes sur 29.
