La Maison Tellier. Illustre par Lobel-Riche. Paris: Javal et Bourdeaux 1926. First Edition with these illustrations Hors de Commerce copy separate from limited edition of 375 copies. Small 4to light green printed wraps text in loose signatures as issued 12 full-page and 3 smaller engraved reproductions of occasionally erotic drawings by Lobel-Riche extra loose set of the engraved illustrations printed in sepia with small remarque illustrations in margins plus one additional plate not called for in the book and single sheet of green paper with four 4 original pencil sketches by Lobel-Riche several heightened in red pencil signed at bottom right by the artist. Wraps sun-browned at spine minor wear at edges original glassine over wrapper chipped and torn at edges with early owner's hand-lettered title in ink at spine torn and partly lacking text quite good slight aging text and plates very clean sheet with original illustrations with some aging at edges offsetting to protective paper folder. The edition consisted of 75 copies on Japon Ancien with the plates in four or five states and 300 copies on Velin d'Arches with plates in two or three states; there were also 42 additional lettered or Roman-numbered copies on Japon Imperial or Arches. This copy is an Hors de Commerce copy similar to the 200 copies on Arches with plates in two states with the addition of the sheet with original drawings; the limitation leaf cites no other issue which also included an original drawing although there probably were some. One set is with and one without additional small drawings in the lower margin. A number of additional graphics are available. . Javal Et Bourdeaux paperback

The whole is contained in a green gilt embossed cloth portfolio with three cloth ties. Within there are loose signatures. The first contains the Title-page The there is a folded signature containing three hand-printed signed original color prints by Fabio Nicola Grasso numbered and signed in pencil. These are followed by a series of signatures beginning with page 11 and moving forward through the end at page 66 followed by a colophon sheet. Contains 38 colored serigraphs within the text by Aldo Turiano as well as the works by Grasso. <br /> A translation of part of the printers statement is: ".In the construction of this book Mario Grosso has used the most sought after and effective silk-screen effects to best represent the expressiveness of the artists. In the course of so much work Elsa Sormani Marie Luce de Vautibault Michèle Campagne Concetta Centamore Claudia Di Giacomo and in the concrete and essential form Mario and Lina Garraffo were close to us without whom this book would have seen no light. <br /> Hand-rolled by Mario Grosso Emma Cacciola and Fabio Nicola Grosso this book was entirely made at the OBI office in Catania and finished printing on 23 November 1993. This book has 68 numbered pages and three original off-text compositions Fabio Nicola Grosso signed by the author.
