Tadzio was likely based on a boy named WÅadzio whom Mann had observed during his 1911 visit to the city during the cholera epidemic. In the publisher's cloth binding. Several leaves untrimmed. Externally with fading to the spine and boards although only minor bumping to the spine. The odd mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot.
