Cette pièce fut adaptée au cinéma, sous le même titre, sous forme de film muet, réalisé par Maurice Tourneur, en 1913. Le scénario, l'adaptation et les dialogues étaient de André de Lorde. On trouve dans les rôles principaux : Henri Gouget, Anatole Bahier, Henry Roussel, Renée Sylvaire, André Dubosc et Robert Saidreau.

An original radio script for the NBC program World's Best Literature which each week adapted a great work of literature with two small correction changing the episode number. The memoir is notorious for its inaccuracies portraying Poe as a madman habitual drug user and an alcoholic. Griswold's falsehoods were perpetuated in subsequent editions of Poe's work. This edition also includes Poe's essays on Margaret Fuller Ossoli Nathaniel Hawthorne and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and concludes with his pithy "Fifty Suggestions." <br /> <br /> BAL 16159. J.S.
