In addition three copies numbered I to III have been struck off as presentation copies. This is copy is numbered III. Within this copy are two color illustrations by Arthur E. Beecher with tissue guards pulled from an unknown Poe edition. They are laid into the appropriate stories The Pit and the Pendulum and The Raven. Bound in original black leather with lettering raven skull spider hourglass and crown stamped in gilt. Top edge in gilt showing a little rubbing. Several pages with upper corners creased.
