Frommann-9783772820090frommann-holzboog Verlag e.K. German. Softcover. New. XIV 418 p. 114 x 174 cm. The introductory lecture held in the winter of 1809 discusses the road leading from a vague premonition of the truth to clear scientific knowledge. As is the case with all theories of science developed during the later years of a philosophers life the Wissenschaftslehre 1810 Epistemology 1810 is guided by the following basic idea: Knowledge is in accordance with its fundamental character an image of the absolute. It is in self-penetration that this knowledge rises from lower principles to continuously higher forms of reflection schemata" of its regularity whereby the individual versions up to 1814 all began with continuously higher standpoints. In the introductory lecture held in October of 1810 Fichte deals with the question of how it is possible to convey empirical historical and psychic knowledge. The purpose of the Thatsachen des Bewußtseyns Facts of Consciousness 1810/1811 is to lead from everyday consciousness to the scientific level as did the Platner lectures held during his time in Jena. Based on the observation of factual-hypothetical fields of knowledge they rise to their principles not yet however in their complete systematic context. Frommann-9783772820113frommann-holzboog Verlag e.K. German. Softcover. New. XXXVIII 423 p. 113 x 174 cm. This volume contains Fichtes lectures held between May 1811 and August 1812. These include a particularly well written version of a series of lectures designed as an introduction into the business of philosophy on the determination of the nature and the duties of a scholar as well as the lectures on the only two special disciplines which Fichte had on his agenda in Berlin: jurisprudence and ethics. This is a new publication of these lectures the manuscripts of which were re-examined and also includes the transcripts of Fichtes colleagues. A detailed introduction explains the individual kinds of lectures within Fichtes system of theories. Frommann-9783772820106frommann-holzboog Verlag e.K. German. Softcover. New. LXIV 427 p. 113 x 174 cm. In its coherence and differentiation Fichtes talk on Wissenschaftslehre 1811 Epistemology 1811 is the climax of his later philosophy. The hypothetical starting point is the statement that the absolute appears. He proves this assertion by using a continuous deduction of the stages of the appearance of the absolute. The Epistemology was followed by Fichtes introductory lecture Über das Wesen der Philosophie On the Nature of Philosophy in three transcripts by colleagues in which Fichte deals particularly with the different methods in the sciences. The lectures published here for the first time on The Facts of Consciousness held in the winter semester of 1811/12 in the transcripts of his colleagues in Halle give an objective account of all possibilities of knowledge and serve as a didactic prerequisite for understanding the Epistemology. The volume also includes a detailed introduction which acknowledges Fichtes lecturing in Berlin describes the entire series of lectures he held in Berlin and also deals with the individual content of the works. The current bibliography of secondary literature for the texts in Volumes I and II of the student text edition is also very useful. Frommann-9783772820120frommann-holzboog Verlag e.K. German. Softcover. New. XXXVIII 251 p. 112 x 174 cm. The two lectures on Transzendentale Logik Transcendental Logic held in 1812/13 are published in two separate volumes. The first one held in the summer semester of 1812 and entitled Vom Verhältnis der Logik zur wirklichen Philosophie The Relationship of Logic to Real Philosophy is now being made accessible to a larger readership for the first time. It provides additional information on his reflections regarding the position of logic in the entire system of epistemology reflections which he had already begun during his time in Jena. Conceived as a preparation for the epistemology its aim is to eliminate the flaws of a merely formal logic by exposing the origins of the terms. What is involved here specifically is the relationship between philosophy and reality. This is a new publication undertaken after re-examination of the text and with the inclusion of the transcripts by Fichtes colleagues. An introduction indexes and a bibliography complete the volume. frommann-holzboog Verlag e.K. paperback
