With illustrations by Stan Hunter. An entry in the publisher's 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature series issued in conjunction with the Bicentennial of the American Revolution. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. Publisher's "Notes from the Editors" booklet about this work is included along with a blue-grey leather bookmark with image of Ben Franklin in gilt. --- Bound in full tan/gold bonded leather covers with four raised bands on spine. Spine titling elaborate decorations to covers and spine and textblock edges AEG all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. Brown silk moire endpapers with matching sewn-in satin ribbon placemarker. An octavo measuring 8 1/2 by 5 3/8 inches with the gilt on the upper edge of the text block faintly spotted. 286 pages of text. Illustrated with color paintings by Stan Hunter. One of the volumes in The Franklin Press' collection of The 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature.
