Eighteen tipped-in color plates by Charles Robinson as well as many vignettes in halftone. A most unusual format for this title seemingly a publisher's deluxe binding. 1911ailzWilliam Heinemann London/ J. B. Lippincott Co Philadelphia 1911. Special Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. This beautifully illustrated deluxe edition is bound in cream vellum. The book is superbly and generously illustrated by Charles Robinson. The spine is worn and faded but is stoic and firm. The paper trims are faded foxed. Inside there are splashes of foxing through the book - but the illustrations and plates are enchanting vivid and moody. The other illustrations are sweetly coy in their freshness.
