Jacopo Sanazzaro” (p. i-xiv), written by Giambatista Crispo, here re-printed with useful notes and corrections by Tommaso Maria Alfani. (see Gamba, Testi di lingua, 4. ed., p. 269), and by the "Catalogo di molte della principali edizioni che sono state fatte dell'Arcadia e delle rime ... disposto per ordine di cronologia, e arricchito di qualche osservazione da G.V." (p. liii-lxiv). The work is published together with Le rime di M. Jacopo Sanazzaro alla lor vera lezione fedelmente restituite, preceded by its own title-page (leaf 2R3).
