A very good copy of a somewhat ephemeral item. Internally clean. A later printing of the 1949 edition which was clearly an object of some popularity. Dealing primarily with the causes psychology and techniques of masturbation amongs a number of subject fields with particular attention paid to the "reasons" for masturbation among such groups as "Unsatisified Women" "Wives who Masturbate" and "Auto Erotism in Widows." Most of the psychological examnation probably appears pretty self evident to us today but the number of professional people seriously examining sexuality in the 1950's was comparatively low.
