Ties lacking front cover rubbed extremeties slightly worn.</p><p>Charles Gauthiot 1832-1905 was a French journalist and secretary-general of the Société de Geographie Commerciale de Paris founded in 1873 by M. Meurand E. Levasseur C. Gauthiot M. Tourasse B. Garnier M. Dietz-Mounin E. Berge F. de Lesseps M. Peghoux. No other copy found unique a fine specimen of the French craftsmanship of silk weaving with only minor traces of use.
