Le petit mémoire ci-joint a principalement pour but d'estimer la valeur des ouvrages qu'on a fait pour la défense du Fort l'Ecluse et de présenter les fautes dans lesquelles on est tombé...". Ce journal de défense a été publié en 1840 sous le titre "Observations sur la défense du fort l'Écluse en 1815" et fait l'objet d'un article dans la revue "Le spectateur militaire" d'août-septembre 1838.
