This is a well-illustrated issue with a number of wood engravings including a double page and three full-page illustrations. One of the full-page illustrations concerns the Fenian Uprising in Ireland. Another series of illustrations on features African hair fashions. More importantly this issue includes a significant Thomas Nast cartoon about Reconstruction and voting rights.
