Written to John G. Kinkle the correspondent in a lawsuit and the second letter written to his attorneys in the same matter Charles P. & Wm. W. Buckley in New York City; the matter seems fairly complex and threatening to Kinkle via the content: ".Do you remember the contract you made with Mr. Isaac Westfall of Remington Ind. which states that if the said Isaac Westfall produced evidence which would prove the marriage of Mrs. Harry Giles to one Dr. J.B. Wilson you would bind yourself and the heirs of the Harry Giles to pay to said Westfall the sum of one thousand dollars. He furnished the evidence.We are now ready for settlement either amicable or through courts of law." the second letter to the attorneys Buckley notes ".my attorney in your city .states that we have a good cause of action and awaits my orders to begin suit. In regard to a compromise would say that we expect to hold Mr. John G. Kinkle to his contract for the payment of one thousand dollars for services rendered."
