(Chevremont, 'Marat: Index du bibliophile', p. 265. Fonds Lacassagne, p. 18. Martin & Walter, 21126). 2- Pamphlet composé par Antoine Estienne, "libelliste à la solde de La Fayette" pour répondre aux attaques de Marat. "L'Ami du Peuple" avait appelé les ouvriers des faubourgs à se mobiliser contre La Fayette et ses partisans accusés de vouloir imposer la distinction entre citoyens actifs et passifs. Le pamphlet se présente sous forme de "Réflexions" d'un ouvrier qui signe en fin: "Jean, compagnon brasseur" (page 7) . Le véritable auteur est identifié par O. Elyada, "L’appel aux faubourgs. Pamphlets populaires et propagande à Paris, 1789-1791" in "Paris et la Révolution. L’exception française" (sous la dir. de M. Vovelle), p. 185-200. (Martin & Walter, 17265. Tourneux, 1521). 3- Violente dénonciation de Marat et de ses méthodes, accusé de despotisme et de corruption, à travers la fiction de mésaventures d'un ressortissant anglais installé à Paris, Mr. Smith.
