Contains six sermons: "Justice and Mercy," "The Day of Memorial " "The Call of Duty," "Repentance, Charity, Prayer," "The Triple Atonement," and "Be Strong " David Philipson (18621949) was a U.S. Reform rabbi .[H]e was one of the first group of rabbis who received their ordination in 1883. After serving as rabbi of Har Sinai Congregation, Baltimore, from 1884 to 1888, Philipson returned to Cincinnati to become rabbi of the B'nai Israel Congregation in 1888, remaining there for the rest of his life. Philipson participated in the conference which drew up the Pittsburgh Platform (1885); he was a rounder of the Central Conference of American Rabbis serving as president in 190709; and he was an influential figure in Hebrew Union College, where he taught for many years, and in the Union of American Hebrew Congregations .He was a member of the board of translators of the Jewish Publication Society for the translation of the Holy Scriptures (1916), an editor of Selected Writings of Isaac M. Wise (1900), and translator of Reminiscences of Isaac M. Wise (1901, 1945). An autobiography, My Life as an American Jew, appeared in 1942 and a volume of occasional writings, Centenary Papers, in 1919. Philipson verbalized and gave a universal dimension to the optimism of the prospering Midwest Jews among whom he lived and, surviving most of its exponents, came to be regarded as a representative spokesman of "classic" Reform Judaism (EJ). Published in Berlin the year after the 1936 Olympics there. Felix Daniel Pinczower (1901-1993) was a German-Jewish sportsman and journalist who played for the Jewish "Hakoach" Berlin. While working as a sports journalist he covered the second Maccabiah, held in Tel-Aviv in 1935 and the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Pinczower immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1939 after being arrested on Kristallnacht for five weeks. SUBJECTS: Running in the Bible. Secrétaire du Consistoire, il milita pour une réunion de l'ensemble des églises chrétiennes. Devenu gênant, il fut écarté par sa hiérarchie de son poste et nommé à Montpellier. Selon Daniel Robert ('Textes et Documents relatifs à l'Histoire des Églises Réformées en France', 1808-1830), son rôle et son importance dans l'histoire de l'église réformée a été longtemps sous-estimée.

Therein no definite information about born and death dates of Rabiha Hanim. Her grandfather was Kani Pasha (One of Tanzimat period pashas) grandmother was Russian. Her father Rifat bey who was a diplomat Kani Pasazade Ahmet Rifat bey, (1844-1891), was one the Young Turks according to Mithat Cemal Kuntay (Avrupa'da dokuz Türk ihtilalcisi). Rabiha Hanim's first articles and writings about cookery and recipes appeared in 'Türk hayati' periodical in 1925-26 which published by Selanikli Fazli Necip. She wrote in this periodical for a short time, for the chapter under the title 'Sofra hayati' [i.e. Cuisine life]. This book by her includes 41 recipes of cake and dessert. It's not cataloged in any bibliography related to Ottoman cookery or other. Additionally, she wrote a French edition of this book in 1925 under the title of 'La bonne cuisine Turque, Facile et economique des Mets les plus Usites et Renommesdu Pays (107 recettes)'. Only one copy located in OCLC: 949551637 (Bogaziçi University Library).; Not in Özege.; Kut 34.; Özege Bagis Kitaplari Kat. 3601. First Edition. Extremely rare. This rare book includes 41 pastry recipes with their French names as well as add to their Turkish names. Rabia wrote a cookbook in French printed in 1925 titled 'La Bonne Cuisine Turque' in Istanbul according to Kut.
