This is an extremely scarce privately and lavishly printed prospectus for a planned luxury golf resort community in coastal South Carolina near Myrtle Beach being developed by a group headed by John T. Woodside between 1926 and 1930. Portions of the planned development were built The Ocean Forest Hotel was completed in 1930 and demolished in 1974 and the Ocean Golf Course and Country Club - now known as Pine Lakes Country Club - were completed by 1930 but the Great Depression put a stop to the development. "Although the Woodside Brothers did not see their plans for Arcady come to fruition they did build the first golfing facility in Myrtle Beach and paved the way for the town to become the golfing Mecca it is today" - from the Myrtle Beach Master Plan.
