Nash was of course one of San Francisco's most important and artistically influential printers. He arrived there from Canada in 1895 saw his business destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and subsequent fire but persevered and rose to national prominence.<br>Â Â Â Â A collection of hundreds of letters of praise from prominent individuals who visited the Panama-Pacific International Exposition the 1915 world's fair held in San Francisco; includes letters from Woodrow Wilson William Howard Taft Elihu Root Franklin and Theodore Roosevelt Samuel Gompers and Thomas Edison. The text of each page is surrounded by red ink borders and a printed sidenote summarizes the theme of each letter.<br>Â Â Â Â Prepared by James A. Barr and Joseph M. Cumming and edited by Oscar H.
